Here is a list of commonly asked questions that you may have about hiring Elliott for your event.
What type of magic do you perform?
I perform Close-Up Magic with common objects like cards, coins, elastic bands, finger rings and paper (for mind reading). I like to keep my magic direct, powerful and leave a lasting impression. I aim to involve everyone in the group and make sure that everyone is having a great time.
How much does it cost to hire you?
The cost for hiring me really depends on where the event it, how long you need me for and what type of event it is. I charge a very competitive rate based on the current market, and when you contact me I can give you a quote back often within the hour.
Do you do kids parties?
No as kids magic is a whole different ballpark! Children generally don’t want to pick a card or care if a coin appears in your hand, they prefer things big bright and silly. Whilst I don’t do kids shows I know a few seasoned performers who I can recommend who are among the best.
Are you available to work abroad?
Yes I am. Advanced notice is required though. Please Contact Me for a no-obligation quote for your event.
How long do you typically perform for?
For smaller events (up to 30-40 guests) an hour is enough. For larger events over 100 people around 2-3 hours may be needed so that I am able to get round everyone. It really depends on your event and own requirements.
How far in advance should we book you?
As soon as possible. The weekends and Friday nights are the busiest days for magicians, and holidays like Christmas and New Year are a very popular time.
What is the process of booking you?
If you decide that you would like to hire me, first Contact Me by phone or email and we’ll discuss your event and I’ll give you a no-obligation quote. If you would like to go ahead with the booking we will confirm the details and I will send you (via email) a booking confirmation for you to fill in, sign and send back to me with a deposit. I’ll also be in touch before the event just to make sure everything is going ahead as planned.
Do you require a deposit when booking?
Yes I require a 30% booking deposit. This is mainly for peace of mind that you would like to hire me and to secure the date and any travel arrangements that I’ll need to make ahead of time. This will be fully explained on the booking confirmation.
